Our Team

Simon Offor, CEO
Simon is the founder of SConsulting. With over a decade of experience working within the financial services industry, Simon has developed an in-depth knowledge of the retail financial services sector enabling him to analyse individual companies and provide solutions that deliver results.

Prior to SConsulting Simon was a director of a financial services training company in the UK that undertook successful projects in the UK, Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore and the Middle East. From working with The Royal Bank of Scotland in the U.K. Simon has acquired extensive practical experience in sales and sales management roles.

Dr Larry Podmore, Consultant
Larry has 35 years of experience in the IT Industry, supporting the commercialisation of innovative technology businesses. His previous roles have included business consulting, training, sales, management and software development.

Roger Colbeck
Rodger has been a Financial Planner for over 23 years in a career that has expanded through life insurance management, self-employed life agent, financial planner and practice management. Rodger holds a Master of Business Administration and is a Unit coordinator and Lecturer in Financial Planning at the University of Tasmania.

Rodger is directly involved in developing the financial services qualifications that SConsulting offer online. Rodger’s education and wealth of experience makes him a valuable part of the SConsulting team.

Shelley Cuthbert – Executive Assistant
Shelley has over ten years experience in administration and office management. Shelley’s skills in client management and refining processes are at the centre of SConsulting’s ability to respond quickly to our clients in an efficient and productive manner.

Shelley works directly with our clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Shelley’s role involves obtaining customer feedback and using this to improve products and processes.

Cheryl Xiao – Programmer
Cheryl completed a bachelor of Computing with Honours in 2008. After working for the School of architecture at the University of Tasmania, Cheryl became head programmer at SConsulting.

Cheryl works closely with SConsulting’s management team to facilitate the online delivery of our qualifications. This involves ensuring all online material is compliant with national regulations. Cheryl is also at the heart of our product development division where she works with clients on creating individual e-learning solutions.

James Burrows – Marketing Manager
James holds a Bachelor of Business with a major in Marketing and International Business. James’ knowledge and experience in working as a consultant across a range of industries makes him an important part of the SConsulting team.

In addition to promoting SConsulting to Australia and the rest of the world, James works with clients to ensure that SConsulting is constantly reviewing and updating its products and services so that they continue to meet the needs of businesses.

John Brereton, Consultant
John is a highly motivated and results orientated Senior Financial Services Manager. John has worked in financial services companies across Europe and Asia. John’s key skills are in the areas of strategic planning, business management, change management and project management.

John acts as an adviser to SConsulting, providing advice on Asian and European market trends and is an important member of the SConsulting team.


Advisory Group

Ian Offor, Senior Advisor
Mr Offor provides guidance on key financial service industry aspects and issues as well as sales and management strategies in regard to the content and change management principals.  

Mr Offor has over 30 years experience in financial services from ground floor to board level.  This includes CEO of a UK life assurance company, Royal Scottish Assurance, and Director of the Royal Bank of Scotland’s retail arm.  He has a Masters degree in Managing Change and is an industry expert in implementing Bancassurance operations around Asia. Since 2000 he has led implementation of Joint Ventures and Distribution Agreements in Korea, China, Malaysia, Thailand & Indonesia & advised on installations in India, Taiwan, Japan, Egypt and Lebanon.

Dr Andreas Wilhelm, Advisor
Dr Wilhelm is a Doctor of Economics and has 15 years experience in the industry covering Germany, the USA and Asia. Dr Wilhelm’s role is to provide advice on content of materials produced in regard to his area of expertise and to provide advice risk management issues.

Dr Wilhelm has experience and is responsible for risk management assessment and planning. He has established Joint Venture, Distribution, and Company purchase agreements in numerous countries around Asia including Korea, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
